  • Welcome back!

We decided to spruce things up and fix some things under the hood. If you notice any issues, feel free to contact us as we're sure there are a few things here or there that we might have missed in our upgrade.

Well I hope you get it figured out. You have such a cute Mr. Man there. I'm looking forward to seeing more photos.

Thanks! Fourteen weeks old today and 20" at the shoulder. No clue what he weighs as I don't own a scale (and I like the suspense LOL), but I will update Sept 18 when he goes back for his final puppy shots, rabies and microchip.

Will it scare ya much if I vote 60lbs which would make him 16 weeks with 2.5 years roughly of growing left lol

Seriously QueenB l haunted this forum for a long while, waiting to bring him home. The wait is worth it, l look forward to your puppy pics!
I have to say he is quite the little asshole these days lol. Bitey bitey land shark and he is now big enough to counter surf. >`<
But still a little angel when he is sleeping. And snoring. The snoring has become a regular thing lately.

Haha I'm used to snoring from my Bostons. I haven't had a puppy in years, but I certainly remember those puppy teeth. Ow!

16 weeks old yesterday. Today we went to the vet for his final puppy shots, a nail trim and microchip. He enjoys the attention, tolerates everything, just a little yelp when the microchip went in, that's a big needle.

51.8 lbs and 21" at the shoulder! I figured out he is gaining an average of .57 lbs per day. Adult incisors starting to come in.

I made it a twofer visit and brought in a kitten with a bad URI (he has the feline herpes virus) and Chunky Monkey was totally chill, he hung out on the exam table during the entire visit. Then I had to stop at the paint store so Booker and Chunky Monkey both came in and got attention from the guys.

No great pics to share from today, but here's a bonus kitten pic.

What a great vet visit. He is getting so big, and your kitteh is precious. Chunky monkey seems so calm.

Chunk is one of three feral kittens I took in a couple of months ago, I kept finding them in the side yard with their poor wee eyes glued shut from discharge. The other two are vaccinated and speutered, but he's taking longer to get over this viral thing so now he's on doxycyline and different eye ointment. From blind, spitting, hissing little feral kittens to calm and social older kittens...I am not a cat person at all, but they seem to take their cues from the dogs. Since they were tiny they follow the dogs around, they understand dog language and boundaries, they sleep with the dogs...they're dogs in little cat suits! :p

Booker amuses everyone with his completely laid-back attitude. Doh de doh de doh. "Here I am, oh hey there, I'm going to lie down and take another nap now, OK?" I get a lot of "I can't believe he's a puppy, look how calm he is."
Well he did try to eat the microchip reader, the toenail clippers, the exam room chairs and Dr Child's shoes. But apart from that he was great. LOL.

Booker is getting so grown up! He's entering that phase that we like to call "Little Big Face." It's good of you to take care of the feral kitties. They were lucky to end up in your yard. Not everyone is so kind to strays.

[h=3]Thank you, and thank you Boxergirl. I TNR (trap-neuter-release) ferals in my neighborhood, clearly I missed a mom.

Since I started TNR and feeding ferals, zero mice around here. The first couple of years I had this house they were starting to come inside when the weather started cooling off, I am somewhat rural so there are lots of field mice. I like all of God's little critters in their place, but in my house is not a desirable place for mice, they are gross, incontinent little creatures, really.

LOL @ Little Big Face. Booker is so ungainly right now. My adult dogs are hating him a bit less these days and have almost granted him permission to play with them once in a great while. In fact he and my Lab are playing bitey-face right now. He still goes to daycare 1-2 times a week to get his yayas out and do full-on puppy play. They have a couple of older puppy Great Danes and lots of energetic bully breeds; he is plum wore out when I pick him up.

Not to mention they like to nest in your vehicles and eat the wires. I've recently spent 20+ hours chasing wire shorts on my old pickup truck that sat out in the field for over a year.

Quick update; Booker will be five months old on Thursday and (cue ominous music...) weighed 6.66 lbs this morning at the vet. And 25 inches at the withers. He is growing up and up, all legs and ribs right now.I'm trying to attach a pic through my phone as an expeeiment, not sure if it will work....well if there's no pic it didn't work!
