Boerboel Appraisal Dates?

I have been looking for a calendar with the dates and locations of Appraisals. I would like to attend one just for fun and see other Boerboel's and owners.

If a dog cannot be appraised at a certain percentage it cannot be registered as a Boerboel. It is just a dog or bandog.

@elasticpurejoy, you will need to check with either Boerboel International or American Boerboel club for appraisal dates in your area.

Why is this Mike? I don't really know anything about Boerboels (except that Jade is beautiful), but wouldn't the dog either be purebred or not, and if it was purebred wouldn't you just register it normally? Sorry if I'm showing my ignorance here....

It is the way SAB and EBBASA works. They want the breed to stay pure so they will issue a birth certificate to a new litter that comes from Registered Boerboels then allow a years growth. You then get to have the dog appraised. If it passes with 75% (need to check percentage) or better it is a Boerboel and can be registered with either ORG according to it's standard. If it does not score high enough then it can't be registered as a Boerboel. Problem is right now there are 2 set standards one by BI and one by SAB/SABT they are currently trying to joing all the orgs for the Boerboel into 1 org and 1 set standard. Here is the SABT site about appraisals Introduction to Appraisals (SABT -- South African Boerboel Breeders Association)
The EBBASA is hard to find and I wont promote the site that lists it openly. The AKC will register pure bred Boerboels as Boerboels though with no appraisal.

BTW some of this is sheer stupidity. I will explain later or tomorrow. I need to get going.
