People talk about their dogs spread. In horses it is when their chests and pelvis widen out; same for dogs?

It is mainly chest and neck area. However the rear will spread also but may not be as noticeable.

Thanks. Sophie is just about 6 months, when does the spread generally start? Interesting that it isn't their hips too but that would be one heck ofa body load to carry around on one spine I suppose.

depends on genetics. They can keep growing up to 3 yrs old.
