Good food that is reasonable in cost and great service! Oh, and the store takes me back many, many years! Love looking around in there. I am a huge fan of a dessert that they have - it's the Baked Apple Dumpling. Amazing. I added this post because I am craving this now.

Chicken & dumplings with fried okra and hash brown casserole...YUMMY!! I love Cracker Barrel as well!

The breakfast. Seriously, the one with grits, biscuits and gravy, two eggs, bacon, ham, sausage, hash brown casserole, and of course cinnamon apples. For only around seven dollars, it's pretty hard to beat.

That sounds wonderful. They open at 6am. I'll be calling them at 6:01 this morning to place an order for this. I think they call that one "the old timer's breakfast" - whatever it is, I'm getting it!

I dig the Cracker Barrel. I have to eat there when I'm on the road. My wife isn't a big fan, but she's from California. They dont even eat meat off the bone there. They had this dish there for a limited time called "campfire chicken/beef, etc" that was cooked in foil with corn and potatoes. It was really good. They don't have it anymore here. So, I usually get the chicken and dumplines with the 3 sides....it changes everytime. I hate to be the bearer of bad news but the restaurant is growing more than it ever has, and they are starting to put one at every major intersection. Before long it will be another Chili's. I'm already starting to identify the freezer food that they serve.....But it's still very enjoyable.

Aw Caleb, that is so sad, but I would prefer to be forewarned instead of wondering what is going on over time. I live in the Dallas area and haven't noticed that type of growth with the restaurant here .. yet. I will make the most of it while I can! I shared this with my Mom. She refuses to accept that it could happen LOL She is one of their biggest breakfast fans!
