A week ago I brought 2 yr. old Elsa (Neo/OE mix) to the vet because I notice a jelly like bump on her right side. When she stands it droops a bit. The vet said it's a hematoma/bruise. I realized she may have gotten it while trying to catch a chipmunk on the porch since she banged into the sliding door rushing out since I had it about 2 ft open.
The vet drained a sample to confirm, but when I asked why she didn't want to completely drain it, she said she didn't want to because her rib is bracing it and it would only cause more fluid to refill it.
She basically said to leave it alone since she acts normal and doesn't seem bothered by it. However I'm concerned that theres no change. I'm debating to take her in elsewhere for a second opinion. Any thoughts?
Its currently the size of a tennis ball. Thx!
