Advice on Cane Corso

Hello guys. To start off thanks in advance for advice.
I'm currently in the market for a dog. It has come done to a Dogo or a Corso. Not looking for anything to show or breed. More of a family companion. Now i know that they're not good for first tome owners. I've had dogs in the past but they were trained by my dad not me.
Any of you guys have owned both breeds or either or?
Can you tell me the good and the bad of each. Kind of like a compare and contrast.
Also exercise requirements. How much should i exercise a corso daily?

You should research all that about care for dogo or corso its all on the interweb never be prepared enough :) although all theory goes down the drain when you get your pup :) also did you look in to boerboel? :)

I def am doing my research. Been tryinf to talk to breeders and read up on info for both breeds. But i wamt to talk to owners that have owned both breeds or own them now. That way i can get a compare/contrast on the breeds. The ups and downs of them.

I did but i have a baby who will be a yr old when i plan on getting a new puppy and i heard they're not that good around small children

I have corso, well 5 to be exact :), but while I admire Dogo I have decided they aren't the breed for me personally.
Mind letting me know why you think that please.
How much different than a corso are they?
From what I've been reading it seems lile they're just more stubborn and have more energy. Anything else im missing?

I must say that boerboels are really really good with children mine are and were very good and gentle with kids, when they did see and hear kids they go wild happy but in such gentle and beautiful way you must see it to belive it :)

I think Dogo's also tend to be more Prey driven (the very few I have met as they aren't popular here as we get COLD winters) and we live in an area that have old farmers that let their dogs/cat wander a lot. We also get cold/wet winters and the Dogo's I have met have shorter/thin coats which I don't think would be overly suited to the area. My corso with a cow coat can handle it for a while and I am not a fan of trying to put jackets on everyone and then turning them loose in the pen.

How are they energy wise?
For a corso i was plannin on a 30min in the mornong exercise. And 1hr afternoon exercise. With short but frequemt training sessions throughout the day on weekdays. Weekends would be more time outside . How differemt are boerbols? Will they need more ?

It depends with evey pup, but mine isnt that demanding. I walk her twice a day some times three times and beetwen that she has play in the yard. I could go even with less then that but i dont force her anything she knows already how much she needs. And you know when they are pups just like corso they need to take it a little bit slow with runing, mine wanted to run like crazy day that i brought her home she loves it so i had to slow her down a little bit so she doesnt hurt herself. As i know boerboels are similar to corsos regarding exercise and bloodlines and all that make a difference and that is what you need to ask you future breeder about ,explain him your lifestyle and all that. With no offence to corsos i have met a few in my life ,but they didnt immpress me as much as boerboels. Look in to them maybe you will change your camp :)
