I made some vegetable broth with no salt or onion to encourage Missy to drink more. It worked. Thank you for that suggestion. :) I also slipped in a teaspoon of ACV and she never noticed, so I plan to do that as a preventative for these UTI's instead of taking antibiotics for the rest of her little life. Could someone please tell me how much she should be getting of the ACV? She is 15lbs. I did a search but either I have not had enough coffee or I am going blind.... can't find anywhere that gives appropriate amounts.

Whole dog journal recommends (for a 50pound dog!) anywhere from 1teaspoon to 1 tablespoon daily. 15lbs is just a bit under 1/3rd of 50lbs, so 1/3teaspoon to 1/3tablespoon (which is probly so many teaspoons, but I'm to lazy to look it up).

My other suggestion is if she'll let you catch urine at home to pick up a package of urine PH test stripes (they sell human ones at the pharmacy and those'll work fine), so you can see if its making any difference.

Thank you. :) I assume that is daily?

I've become pro at catching urine for samples. LOL I never thought of that one either. Will go pick up a pack of strips and start monitoring her at home.

Human dose is something like 1-2T's per day, isn't it?
Sounds like the ratio works about right... 1T/100lbs-ish?

1T=3t in the US...
