Hi All,
Blu just turned two a week ago and has been acting up lately
not listening well, chasing cars and growling things he has never done before
he seems to have lost weight too his muscles are more defined but he looks thinner, i would think he would be gaining at this age.

At 2 years old, he should already be in his true temperament. What training have you done with Blu? Sounds like he needs to return to OB training. What kind of things does he growl at? Is it a serious growl? Is he off leash when he chases the cars?

Post a pic of Blu standing from the front, side and rear and we can give our opinions about his growth.

Mastiffs continue to grow until 2-3 years of age.

I would return to basic training again, like a refresher course. If he's growling like a protective growl which is a serious growl, who/what is he growling at? Growling is a warning of "I'm going to bite."

Mine is not a CC but a bull mastiff mixed male and right at 2 started acting the same, a little too big for his breeches so off to school he went. Good luck

Anything change in his life?

Does he need "a job"?

Getting out for some classes together might be a good idea - you could try obedience work, or something new and interesting for both of you, like agility or nose work.
