Abbey is starting to protect ( I think)

Abbey just turned 6 months. She was in the living room looking out the front window and something caught her eye, I didn't see anything it could of been her reflection but I don't know for sure. Well she barked and I think it scared her when she barked and she almost fell off the couch. She looked out the window again and started barking again, then she came over and sat right next to me almost in my lap. I don't know if she was trying to protect me or sit in my lap cause she was scared. It was really funny to watch her.

Daisy has been barking more over the last few months over things she hears in the yard and she will run outside and protect the perimeter. Today we had pest control in the house and she put on her big girl bark and I had to put her in her crate. It was clearly not a good idea for the guy to come into her space. It is the first time I've seen such a strong reaction in her. She will be 1 year in 3 months.

This was when I knew Kryten would protect his house. (I copied it from a different post). I think he was just under 7 months at the time.

Just when I am trying to fall asleep tonight Kryten started to have a major barking attack. I got up to see what the problem was only to find him starring at his reflection in the window. He was barking at the strange dog 'outside' and since he could see that it was just barking back at him, although he did seem confused as to why he couldn't hear it, he just kept getting louder and deeper. I covered the window, he gave one last bark, laid down and went to sleep.
