  • Welcome back!

We decided to spruce things up and fix some things under the hood. If you notice any issues, feel free to contact us as we're sure there are a few things here or there that we might have missed in our upgrade.

A good idea, IMO

I like it, too. Mateo is neither shy, nor fearful, but still strangers will reach out to pet him-constantly- without asking first. It's the rudeness that bothers me most.

Oh, and when he's occupied with a smell- on a tree, or his head is in a bush- people will ask if they can pet him-- and then reach out to pet him from behind, which startles him a bit. I have had to make a point of saying, yes...but wait until he can see you, first!

Another good excuse is, "Now is not a good time," and continue walking. I have used that a lot here in the city, when people are asking to take his picture, especially. Or when I just don't want to be bothered...

"Sorry, we're in a hurry" would work, too.
or "she's in a bad mood today, sorry". :)

Love the "no, sorry, she's still CONTAGIOUS" excuse! HA!

The whole backing up and turning the dog around concept is genius, though. Movement REALLY gets the point across... just standing there talking to a human who's ears have shut down (know any dogs like that??)... makes the dog look inviting.

How about this
You can try to pet her only if you are not absolutely sure you want your hand back

around here they usually ask if your dog is friendly or does he bite. I have always said no to "is he friendly" and yes to "he bites", to keep anyone away. Anymore they just stay home and run on the property.

I have always wanted to use "no sorry your to hyper"
I hate when people come up all excited. I'd never let Linc near a hyper dog why would I a hyper person.
One day I will use it
