A big "Thank You" to this forum and its' posters.

I want to say "Thank You" to this forum and it's posters. I have been here a few weeks, reading mostly...made a few posts here and there.*

Tonight I went looking for another forum, simply because I enjoy this one so much I thought another would be just as informative and fun.*

My search led me to another forum. WOW. I have never in my life seen such mean, hateful, snobbish, vindictive people in my life!

My WONDERFUL EM, Appa, is in no way "the perfect mastiff" and I honestly felt like I could not post to that site for fear of ridicule and verbal abuse!*

Comments such as "fluffy mastiffs shouldn't exist" & "who would buy a mastiff for less than $2,500 and expect to get a quality animal?" Really just floored me. Not to mention that a large portion of the posts were PERSONAL attacks using expletives and slanderous claims.*

Long story short: I will stay right here where I feel welcomed & THANK YOU!*

+1 I found another forum that was not as bad as what you found but it was no where near as fun and friendly as this place. Thanks to the hosts and moderators here for a well run happy forum!

World mastiff forum is full of show breeders that are causing the breed more harm than good.

I saw that forum as well... actually I followed it before I found this one and I really agree. It's fairly brutal over there at times! I did get some good info but by far, I enjoy this forum much more and find everyone to be super helpful, non-judgemental and generally good natured. Yay!

When I first got Lillie I also went there to find some help about an issue I was having ( I forget what now) and one of the responses was from a very smarta$$ed man. It went all through me, all I wanted was advice. I love this place. I will go there from time to time to see if I can learn anything but ALWAYS come back here.

To keep the peace with our communities and neighbors, I am tweaking your post to remove the link to the forum that offended you. We try not to name names, bash other forums, bring their drams here, or take our drama there. We like to keep everything neighborly, friendly and peaceful, as we do have members who crossover into other forums. I do hope you understand, it's nothing personal, we enjoy our neighbors, we enjoy our members, let's talk about our dogs!

I apologize, is was never my intent to bring drama or bash our neighbors. I will admit to being offended by that forum and my only intent was to thank this forum and commend the administrators for providing a friendly environment where all ranges of the Mastiff breed could be discussed. Again, I'm very sorry. Lesson learned, no more posting at 4 A.M.*

Before the link was removed, I checked the place out. When I was first looking for a mastiff forum I wanted one that was both comprehensive and easy to navigate. Quite apart from potential content (I didn't see anything offensive to me, but I didn't dig terribly deep), the Nameless Site was really hard to look at. Lots of animated gifs and sparkles on the front page, but no easy-to-use system for finding what you were looking for. First impressions count for a lot, and I came here in part because the site looks like it was designed with professional intent rather than by a high schooler with an Angelfire account.
