I have a 9mnth old who I had the same problem with when he was younger and made this same post. We couldn't even pet him without him wanting to chew on our hands/arms. Somehow I knew I had to teach him teeth n humans= not ok. Someone from this forum advised me when his teeth had contact with human at all to hold the bottom jaw folding over his bottom lip onto his teeth pressing a little firmly without hurting and using the command "no bite". I tried it made sure I never hurt him or made him cry, and he stopped after a couple days n haven't had the problem since. With a 2yr old son in the house as well biting will not be tolerated. He now has the softest, most gentle mouth and you can give him anything from your hand and never feel a single tooth, and he's got big ones lol.

Glad I'm not the only one ! We have had our 8 wk old DDB female for one week, and she is learning her potty training, BUT the biting is crazy !! LOL Keep giving her toys instead and telling no. Do usually have to put her in the kitchen for awhile to calm down before letting her back out again .

Hey everyone

Jenny turned 9 weeks on friday. She is still very much a puppy. I know they love to bite and chew on things at this age. She seems to like to go for your face though ? generally puppys like to lick your face.... but she will try and jump up to bite your face.
I have been using the "gentle" command.... and the " AY AY " tactic... which works at stopping her at that point in time.
When you play with her, she like to bite your fingers and your hands.... which I want to let her do so she can learn how to be gentle right ?
She doesnt seem to be re-acting to the commands Im giving her, and just keeps chewing away !

any way to stop this ? or any techniques I could be using to teach her gentle play ?

Put peanut butter anywhere she likes to bite. It teaches her to lick. If its your face then put it there too. It works!! It did on my pup :)
