  • Welcome back!

We decided to spruce things up and fix some things under the hood. If you notice any issues, feel free to contact us as we're sure there are a few things here or there that we might have missed in our upgrade.

4 months old today!

Every dog grows at thier own pace. If he is healthy and happy, I wouldn't worry about it. He is a good looking boy. My Ruger was 53 pounds at 15 weeks but he is on the larger side of the EM. Also, they grow in spurts like crazy so you will never know what you are going to end with. LOL

Thanks. He's pretty thin. He eats 6-7 cups a day though. Anymore than than and he has the runs. He'd eat himself to death if we'd let him. We've tried upping him a cup at a time to see if he's satisfied, but it ends up being really messy! And he keeps eating until we put a stop to it. BAD IDEA. I think, anyways.

Our pup is on the larger size too (at least for now), and will be 5 months on the 16th and is 94lbs as of today. Some grow fast and atop early...some grow alow and grow longer. Its really hard to say what the right weight is because the "right" weight is different for each pup. But it is fun to look at charts and compare as long as we keep it in perspective. I can remember what Sully was at that age, but I k.ow he was 40lbs at 12 weeks, you can search his growth chart on here under Sullys growth chart if you are intereated. Gorgeous pup!

My fella is 14 weeks today and 26lbs so he'll be right around the same is Ruger at 16 weeks I figure as he usually gains 4-5 lbs a week. He started quite small though 5.5 lbs at 8 weeks(legit runt tube fed with sub-Q fluids for the first 10 days of his life) and has been trying to catch up. My dog will only eat about 3 1/2 - 4 cups a day and thats a struggle to get him to eat that much! His mom was 180 lbs and dad was 200 lbs and were slow growers. it'll be exciting to see where he ends up!

Thanks!
He was 22lbs at 8 weeks so he's just growing slower I suppose. His mom was 170 and his dad was 205. I was just lookin at a bunch of charts, including Sully's. Ruger seems to be right around the same as most in height. I've saw 21-23" seems pretty normal. His weight is a bit low. We're over kibble and so ready to feed raw. We're doing our best to research and understand it. Hopefully going raw will solve our weight issues.

Either way he's a very handsome lad! And slow growing isn't a bad thing from what I understand! I find raw appealing as well but it definitely intimidates me.

Yeah me too. The more I'm learning, the more I'm wanting to do it. I'm worried about finding good deals on meat. Don't want to get in over my head. A batch of satin balls costs us $65 with beef $3.99lb. I would starve if I paid those prices for 3 dogs daily! We just give those as treats every couple days so they last a while.
