Hi,i'm new here,I live in El Salvador.I have the best dog in the world to me,a 17 month old CC with croped ears that bought in Florida USA.My dog has a friend,a Boston Terrier, who bites his ears when they start playing, but the BT is not plaing when he bites my CC's ears and what my dog does is run away from the BT.He gets between my legs or puts his head down a car.
I want to know when, just about, my CC will act as he should.

Thanks for the help

first of all, you should not let any dog bite your dog.
Secondly, believe it or not, you won't like it when he'll "act as he should", as you say.

Thank very much Teodora.I won't let any dog bite mine and viceversa.
This beautifull dog,my CC,is my first mastiff and we have a really strong bond between us that i ever have had with any other diferent types that i had before.
How old the CC's must be to not run away from a little dog ? Just for knowlege

That all depends on the individual dog.
He probably knows the terroir is the alpha dog in the house but sooner or later he will get tired of the terriers shit and it may not be a pretty scene. Be glad he runs and doesn't kill your Boston terrior!

Thanks very much DDSK .The Boston Terrier is not mine.A friend, she take him to my place and i told her not to take it frequently,so it's been ramdom but i won't let her take BT at my place any more.

it depends on the dog and the trigger - I don't think there's a specific age for all CCs. Beware of the moment when he'll decide he won't take any shit anymore: it won't be pretty. CCs are not the usual dogs found in people's backyards: once they make up their minds, they're into it 200%, and they have strength and determination: they do have what it takes to kill before you understand what's happening. Tell your friend to keep her Boston Terrier away for his own sake. And for your dog's sake. You don't want to cross that line. You really don't want every walk with your dog to be a liability waiting to happen: you won't be able to physically hold him, once he gets into attack mode.

Little dogs often are fearless and ruthless and it is not uncommon for large dogs to just avoid them. My parents have a 6lb maltese and she totally rules the house. Bear will try to get her to play and very quickly is sent on his way. Sometimes I think the big dogs just don't know what to make of it. Agree, don't let your dog get bullied no matter what size the dog. I yelled at a guy at the dog park once because his little rat dog kept running up to dogs, would get in their face like he wanted to play and then try to bite their face off. It was totally unacceptable because if any of the other dogs fought back (which they would have every right to do) they would be to blame even through they never started it.

My CC, is the easiest, sweetest, best dog in my yard. We once had to foster another female pressa. The pressa would bully my cc all the time..it took months but the cc had all she was going to take. Needless to say the pressa got the worst of it. We now rehomed the pressa and look at the CC like a super dog. One that's hard to upset but if you do watch out. ...

My CC is very friendly with dogs but not to people at home and at my office.Outside he ignores people.
I never liked what the BT does and wait to see if my CC reacts but that didn't happen so far.
Now i won't let the BT get close to my CC,i mean never.
Thank you very much Karennj for your advice.
