Which picture? Light fawn? There is a fawn in my neighbourhood. She's a beauty! But I haven't seen many without darker markings around the face.

I'm not sure what to make of this message from the breeder..... Any help?

''hello kayla, I'm glad that you're interested in the puppies. The only female puppy that I can give you is formentina-white puppy and a male fawn and a male black brindle .. The name of the dad of these puppy is Leo and he is the son of Compagno 3° and the breeder is Michele Bocci-San Giovanni-Pugli. you know this bloodline? and 'very old! leo: cod.ident: 380260080218456 --- dimonia : 380260040475837(are the identification numbers of the pedigree of the parents). there is inbreed in the parents! I send you in the mail more photos of the three puppies in question. nn parents still have the plate for dysplasia, but I can tell you with sincerity 'that are muscular and elastic. if you want I'll send you some videos. I'd like to give my puppies .. but we are very far apart. as you can 'solve this problem? greetings daniel !"

Does any one know this bloodline? They are over in Italy... I love the color! Don't know much about the bloodline.

But does the breeder mean by dysplasia? And is there something I should worry about with the parents being in breed...

Language barriers are hard, but I think he means they haven't been x-rayed to check for dysplasia. I am curious, you said you wanted to wait until you hubby is home but you seem to be eager to get a puppy now?

I was going to wait until Chandler came home! But I fell in love with this face! I'm just a little thrown off by what he is trying to tell me... I asked if he had the hip checks done he said no... and the female he has available is the light cream puppy I posted the first photo of..

That is why it is best to avoid puppy pics until ready, all puppies are cute... it is what makes decisions hard. The light cream is likely available as she is a DQ according to the standard and would not be considered breed worthy, in the newer pics you can see the grey pigment at the front of the muzzle but you still would be hard pressed to get anyone to agree the dog is a breeding dog.

Importing is also not cheap, shipping is generally what kills on the price and not the cost of the puppy at this point. I know a lot of people find someone coming back to tag them on their tickets for a fee or they find it cheap to actually pay for someone's flight than to ship.

Do you feel comfortable with the breeder? I thought I had always found "the one" when my first breeder started acting strange I took it as a warning and haven't tried to purchase another dog from her again. It took a few more disappointments but I eventually found "the one."

Take things slow and follow your gut feeling. Best of luck to you!

I don't rule out dog based on hip scores alone but they have to be really be bringing something important to my program for me to use them. If not then I don't consider it worth the risk.

If I am looking for a pet then I don't know if I would chance it on a import, but that is just me.
