Your Dream Pack?

This is something I've asked myself many times, and I still haven't really settled.

If you could have a pack of five dogs, wherein no more than a pair could be the same breed, what would they be? Any pack. Don't adjust for the chemistry between the dogs. I mean, assume these dogs were perfect and completely harmonious all the time and breed is only important so far as your tastes and what you may want to do with these mystical perfect dogs.

Some of my current top candidates:
Newfoundland
German shepherd
Cane Corso
Bloodhound

My perfect pack is my perfect pack- EM (Snookums), Neo (Bubbles), 1/2 Shar-Pei mix (Tao), Cho. Lab/Dobie/some hound thrown in for howl, mix (Bones), A (Shaggy) major mix of what ever. It works for us!

EM
Pyrenees
Boerbel
Leonberger
Scottish Terrier

(I think a Scottie is the only little dog I absolutely love!)

Well I'd have to have two TMs, thats pretty much understood, and one Singer is plenty TYVM even if I am a masochist! Hmmmmm, maybe a CO or two......

My perfect pack would be Mountain Fila's pack. I'm green with envy everytime she posts a picture.

Aw Ab i can send them to ya hahahahahaha, they can get you up at 530am EVERY morning to eat and then the little bastards go back to bed and then they sleep till about 9 and im left sitting up all by myself yay. WHY cant they sleep in , EVER !

I had a pack of 8 before this pack but they werent all filas and none related, 1 pit, 3 fila, 1 redbone coonhound, 1 shepxborder collie, and then i had a room mate that had a shepx rotti and then i took in my friends 2 dogs when they had to move and could not find a pet friendly place , which were a rottixpit and a wolf mix. I guess thats 9 lol, everyone got along well but after having an all related pack now, is waaaaaaaaay easier as everyone knows their place in the pack since birth and mom and dad did most of the disciplining , so its great lol

Oh and before that pack i had a pit bulls and that pack consisted of 4 of them , 3 females and 1 male.

My pack would consist of :
EM
Great Dane
Irish Wolfhound
Fila

Those are my top 4 favorites as far as breeds go and all so vastly different in temperament.

Well, I already have practice with getting up early. Cane is up at 3:30 and promptly comes to my side of the bed and lays his head across my face. Needless to say I would need you to come too. Perhaps, I could finally learn a thing or two about training.

Why does he get up so early lol?? I have insomnia so im normally going to bed at that time hahahaha. If my bladder would cooperate and not wake up at 5am im sure the brats would stay in bed a little longer but as soon as i get up they all fly out of bed and of course they want outside and then want breakfast and then by that time im wide awake. NAH NAH NAH im not part of the deal hahahahaha, you know how long its been since i been on a dog free vacation hahahahaha, i dont think i have ever had a dog free vacation and i dont think the other human in the house would like it if i gave his "kids" away lol

You need to offer timeshares for your pack. A person can come for a week to the fila ranch, one of you humans stays home with the guest, and the other gets to go wherever they please!

My dream pack would be
Fila
TM
St Bernard
Dobe
Rottie

The St. Bernard is definitely one I consider often. But then I think, maybe just double up on the newfies. Of course this is all daydreaming--I don't think I would ever deal with all that coat IRL. :)

My fianc* is dead set that he wants a CO. I don't think he has the slightest clue what he is thinking! >.<

No probly not! ON the other hand, if you're in MD (IIRR?) you're not that far from eastern VA, where Apollo's breeder is located (Himalaya TMs), so take a day trip and go meet a TM, which is (first off) alot more possible than a CO, and 2nd Susie's TMs tend to be on the softer side and are much more likely to be less of a culture shock!

Lol I told him a few days ago he could never have a CO but we could consider a TM.

We're practically on the border of TN, NC, VA.

Also keep in mind that unless he has a big change of priorities with dogs in the next decade (possible! It could happen), any dog HE wants is a dog *I* will be training... The man failed to properly socialize a friggin chihuahua. This is why I am Hamlet's training director, and B is just kind of the help. :D
