Working Dogs Video from 1948

It's in Italian, but you can get the point. Fun to see how the breed have changed and how they have remained the same.

I'll see if I can get a summary or a translation of the video. One bit I got translated- " A dog that isn't trained is illiterate."

Two unusual things from the video.

1. They don't call the dog in the video a Neo or a Corso. It's called the Roman Molosser. And it says that they are trying to save/restart the breed(circa'48).

And am I the only one who thinks the boxer of '48 has an uncanny resemblance to the Corso of today?

Nice video clip.

The Boxer certainly had more bulk ( and drive) than the ones I see around the U.S. today.

Also, I didn't realize they had prong collars back then...huh.

At first I thought it was a lean Corso until I kept hearing Boxer. On the other hand I have seen a white Boxer locally that was as tall and big as a Bullmastiff!
