I'm not sure how it faults them but our first EM had white on her chest & our new pup kinda does but it's hard to tell.

This was our first pup. Can't remember how old she was here:

Kryten has a small patch of white on his chest. I think it is more noticeable than some since he is such a dark brindle. ImageUploadedByTapatalk1347896721.646499.jpg

Can't really add to this. Only a small patch of white on the chest is allowed, none on the feet or toes or anywhere else. If it is excessive white on the chest, it is a fault as well.

Gunny has a small white patch on his chest and I've been wondering if that was normal. As usual, you guys/gals clear everything up.

A small patch of white on the chest is acceptable. White on the feet and or lack of pigment in the toenails is not desirable. However, a color is just a color. It is fairly common to see mastiffs with white toes and toenails. As it is only a cosmetic "fault" and there are much more important things to consider when breeding, a dog with white on the toes would not typically be removed from a breeding program based on that alone, so we will continue to see mastiffs with white toes!

Now I have to go wake my sleepy boy to see if he has a white patch lol. I don't ever recall seeing one but never looked. He does has a white toe nail.
And I'm kidding I would never wake him, he's so peaceful when he sleeps

Moose had a white patch on his chest (you can just see it in the picture), a few white toenails, and white spots on the backsides of his feet (just above the pads) that we called his "reflectors". Other than the coat "fault" he was a magnificent animal with excellent temperament.

Small white patch in chest area is within standards, but for showing no other white markings are permitted. My current pup has a white chest and white toes but is a companion pup, I have no interest in showing and chose him because of his silly personality and his white socks! My last four OEM's also had white chest patches, on two of them, the white receeded as they matured.
