  • Welcome back!

We decided to spruce things up and fix some things under the hood. If you notice any issues, feel free to contact us as we're sure there are a few things here or there that we might have missed in our upgrade.

where to go from here?

we purchased a Dogo Argentino male pup from someone we have dealt with in Dogos for a couple of years.our friend drove from Va to Ga to pick him up for us and was told he did not have UKC papers back yet.ok,not a problem we got an owed female from him 4 months before and got her papers.so, no reason to not think about it.well, almost 3 months later,we have no papers and he will not return messages or emails. my grandmother finally got with his wife 30 mins ago and she said he was busy and could not come to the phone.when asked about papers, was told that her husband said "when he gets them we will"! for the first month and half,we were told he had sent them and he was waiting for them to come back?! funny thing is,he had 2 dogs give birth on the same day and has 20 puppies.so,he has sold others and I cannot imagine that they are not breathing down his for papers also~we have told him that we plan on showing him some this spring and summer and really need them. just have never had anything like this happen before!and do not know what to do now!?

Not sure how the UKC handles things, but it might be worth contacting them to find out if the litter was indeed registered and if you have any recourse via them with a breeder who's not handing over paperwork (the AKC is not appreciative of breeders who do that).

thank you, that is our next step from our thinking also.I am hoping they feel the same as AKC,my grandmother has been a breeder in good standing with them for 35yrs.she is going crazy,as he was purchased for our program.

Hopefully its something stupid and it'll all get cleared right up. But if you have a contract stating you bought a UKC registered pup then you have legal recourse too if it comes down to it.

I hope so.my grandmother said she called her lawyer, just to get our side in line.so,he should call her tonight or speak with her at church Sunday.thank you!

Maybe her attorney could make a friendly call to the breeder. I would imagine that would speed things up or at least get an answer as to why and when you could expect papers..

If you have dealt with him before and gotten papers, then you should give him the benefit of the doubt, but like Ruth said you should call the UKC and check if the litter has been registered. Trust but VERIFY!! If the litter hasn't been registered then you should take legal action. I'm not sure how UKC does things, but you might need the litter identification number.

oh no,we have for all most 3 months! I think we will also and he won't even call or if we reach his wife he won't talk.I have no idea what is going on. I have recently heard some info he is giving out and he is lying his butt off!
