guess you picked the wrong day to leave your dog in the car with the windows rolled up!!!! UGH!!!!!! this little Boston was in its car for 28 mins while I called 911 and then waited for the owner. the man came out before the police got there and I stood behind his car while he tried to back up and leave! yes, I did confront him before he got in his car and he continued to argue with me about the d...anger he dogs was in. I was telling him all this time to go and open the damn door and give the dog a freaking breeze!!!! he still continued to stand and try to blow off the severity of the situation!! a small crowd gathered and others were just as outraged. RC officer showed up and took hold of the situation and told the man it would not be a good idea to leave. AC showed up and he was given a warning and told that this situation and his info would be on file!! poor little pup!!! man, my blood was rolling!!! he tried to tell me I was a liar and he had only been in the store 5 mins! well the officer gladly provided that my call came in 20 mins earlier!! this man was older, but I do not care! age does not make this ok!! I took pics of his car including dog inside and his license plate. IMG_0747.jpg

Good for you. Im glad the little dog was ok. Maybe the guy learned a lesson but it sounds like he'll probably do it again. :(

Oh, come on. I am sure you were just overreacting. I mean dogs are like babies right? You just leave them in the car.

Okay, before you jump on me, I was being sarcastic. I hate that people still leave dogs in a hot car. Why take them with you if you are out running errands? My dogs are in the car only if they are going somewhere we can take them, ie park, hiking, ice cream shop, kung fu. They aren't left in the car. Also, after having my car broken into, I know how quickly they can get into a car to steal your dog. FI's all around. Maybe you scared him enough so that he doesn't do it again.

My vet's Facebook page just posted this yesterday. I absolutely cannot stand when people leave their dogs in their cars especially during the warmer months.

I figured but I have had a few people on here not understand my sarcasm. LOL. Need to be sure. I feel the same way about people who leave their babies in the car by the way. Even if I had to go to pay for gas, I would go through the PITA of pulling the kids out of the car to walk into the store to pay it. I am a bit of a worrier though. There were a group of people around here trying to abduct babies/kids while their mom's were busy putting another child into their car seats. Made me extra careful. Now I am the same with the dogs as a lot of dogs are being abducted from cars and backyards. Not to mention the heat.

People are idiots. I was sitting in my car waiting for my son one day and I saw a man and woman get out of their car with the kids and started walking into this medical building...leaving a dog in the car. I got out and said "excuse me ma'am are you leaving your dog in the car?" she said yeah I'm just going to be in there for 10 mins...she went on to say that she has water and will be fine. It was HOT that day. I was sitting in my car with the a/c on and still hot from the sun coming through the front window. I was planning to call an work and have an officer come out. I noticed she and her man talking and then he returned to the car. I went on to explain to him how hot it can get, even with the windows cracked...I deal with these type of calls way too often in the summer. He said he got it...I hope he did. I waited another 45 mins before my son came out and she was still in there! Poor dog would've had a heat stroke!

Good for you...stand your ground! After 10 minutes, I would have done my best to break the window. Old man or not, he's a f**&ing idiot!
