What Do You Feed?

Curious to see what everyone feeds their bully. We have not chosen a brand yet but the breeder feeds Diamond Natural.

Mine eat EarthBlend and are doing pretty well, but I think I'm going to switch them to Earthborn Holistic grain free. I'm going to talk to the vet about it Monday.

Any and all flavours of Acana since my guy has no allergies to chicken or grain!

We fed Natures Domain for years and have just switched to Earthborn Holistics. Since the switch his coat is shinier and he isn't shedding as bad as what he used to, he also doesn't smell as bad as he used to on the Natures Domain.

We feed our EM puppy Earthborn Holistics meadow feast. Just be sure to check the calcium amount if you are looking for a food for a puppy. When we were trying to choose a food I was surprised most of them have too much calcium for a large/giant breed puppy.

My 2/12 y/o Am Staff/Mastiff X gets Origen and Acana, supplemented with coconut oil and springtime longevity.

My 8 1/2 week old puppy gets Fromm Large Breed puppy, supplemented with green tripe, meat grind, springtime longevity, coconut oil, raw chicken feet and fruits and veggies. I'm not so big on all the raw, but getting used to it, the feeding regimen is what's recommended by her breeder, so I'll stick to it until she's about a year. Then I'll likely switch her to Origen as well. I'll keep supplementing both with the longevity and coconut oil. And give raw bones such as the chicken feet and marrow/knuckle bones occasionaly.

I LOVE the results I've seen with my rescue mix after putting him on Origen. Best kibble I've ever fed. His coat is amazing, no more itchy paws/ears, bad breath or rotten gas. All that cleared up within about a week of the change after we brought him home. Plus, and this is huge for me, it is sourced in Canada and is free of products from China. Fromm is sourced in the U.S. and is also China free. Many dog foods, including super premium foods, might be MADE in the U.S. but have ingredients SOURCED in China.

Recalls happen.

Recalls are a concern for many people, which is why I mentioned it. I wasn't sure if you were saying that TOTW wasn't manufactured by Diamond or that recalls weren't a concern. I tried TOTW and my dogs didn't do well on it. I feed Nature's Domain from Costco which is also a Diamond product. It's the only food I've found that is cost effective and that all three of my dogs can eat and not have some adverse reaction too. I do keep track of the recalls and complaints, but so far it hasn't been an issue in my area. It has been a huge issue in other areas so it's good to let people be aware that there is a history of massive recalls. Although it's also important to note that the recalls are due to Salmonella, which is more of a risk for humans than dogs.

Agohfreeman, when I had a dog that could eat anything, my choices were Fromm, Acana, or Earthborn Holistic.

Yeah I know about the recalls from diamond a few years ago. My area wasn't affected either.

My boy eats Diamond. No issues noted. Good bill of health from the vet. Occassional tummy gurgles...but the lab who does not eat it gets same thing. He has allergies.

I always prefer solid gold it is a grain and gluten free dog food, it ensures healthy digestion and fulfill all the vital requirements of the dog.

We recently switched our 9 year old BM and our 11 week old to Earthborn Holistics Meadow Feast after doing a ton of research.

So far so good!
