Urgent! Cane Corso progressing and becoming aggressive

Hey everyone,

my previous post was when my cane Corso was 13 months old. At the time he snapped and made my moms forehead bleed when she moved his head from a nap, left a bruise on my sister and chased her through her backyard prior to snapping ( this was because she tried to show me her phone ). But prior to this he was always great with her. And he nipped my girlfriend several several times as she is really tense around him.

my new post is continued below now that bojack is 19 months old. He has progressed to no more growling and is now snapping with contact.

I lost access to my previous account.

Bojack is now 19 months old, he has progressed to nipping and snapping at my fiancé. He has left a bruise on my grandmother for hugging my sister, bruise on my sister for approaching me when he was 13 months old as seen in previous post, at 13 months old he also nipped my moms forehead leaving a small gash, snapped at my fiancé twice the other day ( details below)

she was helping me put up shelves and he went at her, he than started positioning himself between us

later she was giving him affection and he ultimately started giving her whale eyes, I pulled my hand away and before anyone could react he went for her.

A month prior she was petting him and he went for her face 3 times until he left a scar.

He is now gaining structure , crate training ( he sleeps in it ), fiancé gives him a treat every time she walks by or pets him for 5 seconds. Tried to touch his collar and it worked, tried to put a leash on him and he snapped.

I correct him with a very stern no, his body language is that of a submissive dog after that. He gives me whale eyes and removes himself from the situation but stays calm. I can say “ No “ loudly and he will back down.

He has obedience training , he’s now getting crate training and some structure.

First thing i would do maybe obediance training with him,and for a while remove other people around him. Obviously you interract with them often, PLEASE hire a dog trainer to observe the incident w your relatives.

He sounds like a really domineering male. Have u had dogs before?

Cane Corsos are very protective for sure….but to me it sounds like he’s fear aggressive….I say that because you say when you take control he backs down…. Yes you need to have a professional trainer.
My Bella has fear aggression too. She reacts like that when she’s outside with my husband. As soon as I step out she turns into the sweetest dog you’ll ever meet….. So Bella isn’t allowed outside without me or my daughter or my dad. We are all trained to watch our dog’s body language and to catch the dog before they “lock in” to that fight mode.
I would also look into training him to wear a muzzle a bright red one….easy to see….
I trained Bella with a lot of peanut butter… she’s completely comfortable with it and knows good things are going to happen when she’s wearing it…. Also because of the easy visibility of the muzzle anyone who is nervous about dogs sees the muzzle and crosses the s road to avoid her. I don’t like nervous people around my girl. Both she and I believe nervous means you can’t trust how that person or animal will react
