Underweight cane corso puppy

We have a 7 week old Male cane corso puppy. He weighs 6 pounds and is dewormed now. He eats all of his food and drinks all his water. He has good energy too and acts like a puppy. Should we be concerned on his weight? Will he still reach the average corso weight?

What an adorable pup, you say shes wormed now, did she have worms. Shes very young, was it a large litter. Was she the smallest.
I have ccs, all grow at different rates, dont worry about the weight, look at her body condition, these big dogs dont want to be overweight so the joints are carrying extra weight. The smallest of the litter can be the bigger at the end,
Keep posting pics of that adorable pup as she grows, welcome to the forum.

Yes he had worms and is dewormed now. And litter of 7. He was the only boy. He gained a couple pounds since we got him a week ago. He was healthy and acted like a puppy when we went to the vet. They weren’t worried about him.

Sorry i kept saying she, hes adorable, love the cane corsos, depending on how many worms he had, they can take a lot of the goodness, youve got him on track now,
When i got my first cc, having had rotties for years, i was worried over weight ect, iv learnt not to worry, my middle boy grew to 73kg, tall and very athletic, iv just checked for you he was 11lb, so id say your boy is fine.
They are amazing, my eldest is 9 now.
Enjoy the puppy stage, they sure grow fast.

He is so cute!! I would just be patient with the growth. He looks great per your last pics :) I rescued my corso at 11 months and she was stick thin. 97 pounds but super tall, people always confused her for a great dane. From 12 months - 24 months she gained about 30 pounds. Between 24 months - 36 months she gained another 20. Now she is capped out around mid 150 pounds at 3 years old and super athletic. Honestly I still find her face changing so much too. I read somewhere that corso's don't fully develop until they are 5 years old, so your baby has time.

Also worth noting, she was fed kibble when she was underweight. Once we switched to raw the game completely changed. She sprouted up, gained great healthy weight, and was active and healthy as ever.
