Training Results

Hello,

Curious if anyone in this group has experience with counter conditioning/desensitizing/behavior modification training or similar where they can share their longterm results or personal experience? Specifically referring to human fear/reactivity in a young Cane Corso or similar guardian breed.

For example, one year later, after having worked on training or a program, how are things going with your dog compared to when you started?

Thanks!

I'm sorry I didn't see this earlier. Yes. Behavior modification can definitely help. The thing about it is that some trainers go about it the wrong way because of the breed you have. In my opinion. All B-mod needs to be positive. The goal is to not just stop the behavior but to change the emotional response that causes the dog to react. If you'd like to share more information about your situation, what you've tried/done, how it's going, etc. it would be helpful. These issues are near and dear to my heart and I'm very passionate about behavior. (One of the kids is in the behavior field.)
