Trail Camera

I'm to lazy to go dig out my old thread (which was getting really long anyway). I'll find it at some point and link here for anyone who's curious.

Anyway, the most recent pictures from our trail camera in the back of our property:

This was a surprise and took us a bit to figure out, we appear to have a Fisher Cat!

We have a deer that visit us behind our fence line but the "won't be developed land" behind us was sold and is now getting developed and I haven't seen them since. (Nor the pesky sunk that skunked my Mulan (shepherd mix) RIP 4 and 3 years ago / and our red lab last year ( apricot type of color) so kind of thankful for that but I miss watching the deer.

The land behind us is officially zoned for "wildlife habitat". While that CAN be changed its a legal bitch to do so, so we should be good for a while at any rate. Whats kinda funny, we haven't seen any skunks. We'll get a whiff of one occasionally, but haven't had any actual issues with them.

OMG your sooo lucky ... you would think once they got skunked they wouldn't get round them again ... no x2 and always at night before bedtime ... nothing like bathing a dog in tomato w/e you can find at midnight before bed while gagging... lol not pretty and house smells for days.

Great pics. I was looking at a trail camera at Lee Valley but it wouldn't really work in our close confines here. We'd be better using a CCTV set up with multiple cameras as we have no open areas. Our secretive coyotes can't get in the walled garden so we just have them slinking around the trees and throughout the neighbourhood.

Your dog must go nuts with all the smells, I know mine would. I'd never be able to keep her inside.

If you can find a path they frequent a trail cam would be perfect. For night time pics the smaller areas work better anyway.

Most of the scents they mostly ignore actually. They'll both track bunny scent (yummy bunny!), and Apollo will follow coyote and fox and other predetor scents, but mostly ignores deer and turkey scents.
