she is a wonderful dog.quite small for her age, that is why i think she is a tosa, they are smaller than most mastiffs if the were bred properlyin japan. on the other hand, i found her at a local pound in cal.

How old is she and how is she with strangers? A Fila should not be accepting of strangers, they should be very protective.

She is a cutie! I don't have a very good eye when it comes to identifying breeds. I do own a couple of Filas though.

Difference is the look to start with. Second would be it's nature/temp.
I don't really see either to be honest, though I'm no expert on either, either, but I've seen plenty of pictures. What's her age and current weight? And as has been asked, her temperament with strangers? (though depending on the temp, it could encompass many different types of Mastiffs)

Can we get some more pictures?
Pretty girl nonetheless. :)

She looks a lot like our EM.

This pic was when she was ~6 months old, so still some filling out to do...

Well it def. is not a Fila and it doesnt look like a Tosa to me either... I will lean towards EM or EM mix as well.

i really dont think she is an english mastiff some of her features dont match up. she is verry cautious around other dogs. when another dog approches us at the park head on, even super friendly, she will think they are a threat and pin them down or let out the most deepest threatning berk i have ever heard; a million times more theatning than a pit bull would ever be. around people, she is a afraid at first, then she starts to act more brave, and warms up to people quickly. she is a beautiful dog with a moderately long and sguared- off muzzle. she has a small underbite.ears that hang close to the head, a muscular neck with a dewlap. verry brod chest. butt swings from side to side when she walks. huge paws and verry well padded. thick tail that comes to a point. strong back legs. corse coat. one white nail one every paw all others black. she is about 22 inches at the shoulders and weighs about 80 pounds.

How old is she? And thats definetly not a Fila temporment. The issue with other dogs is as likely a socialization issue as much as anything else.

Yea deff aint a fila. Dont look like one and fila dont warm up to people at all. But I would guess em or maybe a bull but thats just from looking at pics on here. Have you had the dog for 2yr?

I'm still thinking either a smaller EM cross, or maybe a Cane Corso cross. Thats definetly not a Fila temporment, and it doesn't sound like what I know of the Tosa either.
