Titan started burying his food

I keep forgetting the sugar thing! Canine probiotics then? Your vet might have them, or I can get you the link to the ones my vet recommended and we bought from Amazon (cheaper for longer term use that way).

Usually yes its beef tripe....however in theory you could get venison or goat tripe or ghe like, though I'm not sure where to start for those...

I dunno, I am really rooting for you and Titan, you both have been working so hard on working it out. I just remember random things sometimes, and I remember you me and angelbears talking about his allergies and a yeast free diet.

Also Titan is one of my favorite doggies on here so I tend to remember more about him ;)

Is tripe that big blob of white stuff I see in the meat section next to tongues, livers, and tails?? It's cow stomach??? Are people supposed to eat that?? Is it ok to feed to dogs?? cooked or raw??

Thats white tripe. Its green tripe thats been boiled and cleaned. You CAN feed it to your dogs, but it doesn't have half the nutritional properties of green tripe. Green tripe cannot be sold for human consumption, so you have to get it from a meat processor or from someone who sells it specifically for animal consumption.

Tripe can be made from any animal - it's basically their stomach. The green tripe is unprocessed/unbleached. Normally it is beef, but you can get lamb, pork, etc.

I know you can't get fresh tripe locally, but Trippet has canned tripe of various sources. I often get their lamb tripe for my boy. You may be able to find it at a specialty pet food store if your interested.

My dogs have always gone gaga for tripe...but it smells horrid IMO.

ETA - oops didn't see the other replies before I posted. Ruthcatrin - you meant the white tripe is the boiled tripe, right? The green tripe isn't boiled and has all the nutrients.

Thanks to all for your input and advice! I can order beef green tripe from the meat company that I order Titan's other meat. I'll give it try.

Yup.

Trippets canned venison tripe is especially gag-worthy....
