that big one was a european import...he was lovely but over exagerated, very lion maned and not (IMO) a true TM, compared to the TM's from Tibet. He looked more like what the Chinese are doing to the TM's right now, which I dont agree with....they mix them with Chow's etc to get a more exagerated coat etc.

So that type pretty much dominant the ring soon? I'm not sure if this is correct but I read that "true" chows even look like, where people are breeding.

I've had alot of breeders tell me that if theres a lion coat in the ring theres a better than average chance the lion coat will get picked :/ its obviously not 100% true, but....it is eye catching.

The trend is starting....sad. I don't dislike it but I agree with MM he's a big exaggerated for my tastes. The closest I would go would be either Aslan or Apollo for males.

I dont know what AA means?? The elbow look ok but I wouldnt be allowed to breed Moo if she had a 0/1...my breeder only allows 0/0...in other words perfect elbows.

I am 100% with you DD...100%. Apollo is a GORGEOUS male and perfect IMO.

I think he's perfect myself, but I'm biased lol. I don't actually mind Aslan's lion coat as much, BUT, that may be because Susie prefer's a more natural look in her grooming (and thus less fluffy).

Perfect sounds good to me to me too!

I must say there are some beautiful dogs in that pedigree. Not sure how "correct" they are though :)

Me either, its hard to tell from the pictures. Lotsa lion coats though.
