1 and 2 are "Love, Dad" and "Love, Mom" on the inside of my wrists in their handwriting
3 is the last verse of Johnny Cash's "Man in Black" on my right shin
4 is "More Than My Own Life" with a bird on each side across my upper back.
5 is two lines from Soul Asylum's "Runaway Train" under the other tat
And 6 is my stupid 18 year old birthday tattoo...a tramp stamp of a Celtic moon and star, the only color tattoo I have.

No tattoos now, or ever. I don't understand the fascination with them at all. I know that they are very popular, and lots and lots of people have them, but I don't see anything attractive or interesting about them. My son has one, my brother, even my mother-in-law. My son knew I didn't want to see his, he knows my opinion of them, but my mother-in-law got angry with me because I told her I had no desire to see hers. My husband laughed hysterically when she asked why, and I said, don't ask, because I know it will make you mad. She continued to push, so my husband told her that I think tattoos, toupees and car accidents are all horrifying. She didn't take it very well. (no offense to any of you that have them.....just my opinion.)

. I worked corporate hell too. But I like mine so if I want to hide them I can. It's amazing we own at tattoo shop and I love when the little old women I'm talking 70 plus come and get inked.

I completely agree. Everyone is entitled to their opinion. They aren't for everybody........that being said my philosophy is if you don't like mine don't look and don't judge me

I have 2. I have a heart with wings surrounded by stars on my upper arm and on my leg I have 3 of my kids' footprints (using one foot each) going up my leg from their foot certificate at birth in their favorite colors.

None here. I am a very plain person, I only wear one ring. Can't stand earings, necklaces are iffy, watches are iffy, I hate wearing hats, and sunglasses. I wear solid white, gray, black, and blue colored clothes (not into clothes with designs all over it). So, if I got a tattoo I wouldn't want it to be highly visible or colored.

Then I have the issue of finding something I am so passionate about that I feel I the desire to have a tattoo of it.

Maybe one day I will get one. I enjoy seeing them on other people though!

None. My kids have been after me for years to get one, and they will get the same thing. Both daughters have at least 5 tats. Can we say addiction? Anyway, I figure I'll never get one; then I'll be the odd one who stands out. Because almost everyone else in the world will have at least one.
I thought about getting a panoramic kind of thing around my waist & up my back of all the dogs I've truly loved in my life. But it would look awful in a few years, when I get REALLY old. Then I thought about getting a daisy chain around my left wrist, snaking up & around my arm. Then I said screw it.

This my oldest daughter. Taken about 2 years ago. Shows some of her ink.

Your daughter is beautiful Ruby! And it totally is an addiction. It's been about two years since my last and I have tattoo fever so badly. I'm hoping for one for my birthday in April.
