Was just wondering if the bitches appetite has any corelation to the size of the litter they are carrying? My female cant seem to eat enough, she is the best girl and twice now i have caught her counter surfing crumbs off the counter and she has attempted right in front of my face getting up on the counter quite a few times. She wants to eat ALLLLLLLL the time, OMG her begging has gotten so bad we have to sneak around the kitchen trying not to rattle bags or open the fridge to loud, she gets fed breakfast , lunch and diner with numerous snacks of raw meat, cookies, what ever we are eating. But she never seems full, and chew on raw bones like its the last bone on earth. This started just after her 4th week, she went about a week with not wanting her food and then boom she is ravenous and is seeking food every moment she is awake. She is 2.5 weeks from 63 days.

I have had her on probiotics for the past few months and now i have her on some new stuff for the past month and she seems to have a nicer coat and have switched her onto a new food with NO POTATO in it and she likes it and did not get the runs at all from it.

this is the supplement http://www.wellytails-store.com/Digestion-Immunity-Dog-Rx-Supplement-345-grams_p_13.html

the food i switched her to is made by the same company that makes the supplements http://www.holisticblend.com/en/food-formulas/dog-formulas/holistic-blend/lamb-and-rice/

being in a remote town in the mountains the feed stores around here dont bring in alot of different brands , and the prices are outrageous to say the least, earthborn coastal catch $85 for 30lbs plus tax, smart family gets it for $40 were she lives, crazy eh? This stuff isnt much better at $68 for 30lbs, i have been buying the 10lb bag for $22 and mixing it with the pedigree just to make sure she is not going to get the runs lol. I know she is getting enough calories with everything she has been eating but she makes me feel like im not feeding her enough just by her quest for food.

So how much did you feed your bitch during pregnancy, i have had about 8 litters of pups under my belt over the course of my life so not a newbie but i dont recall my other females ever being this ravenous lol

Maybe you could give her 4 meals a day. Not necessarily increase the calorie count so much, although it probably wouldn't hurt, but split her meals into 4 with maybe 1/2 cup or so extra. See if that helps.
Since you have litter experience I'm sure you know that those puppies are going to take a toll on her body after a couple weeks of nursing them, & you'll have to increase momma's feed or she'll lose A LOT of weight.

I did try the 4th feeding but found that she was getting me up at 3am to go potty, so i have been incorperating the 4th feeding into her other meals and she is still the same, that is why i was asking about litter size and appetite. She loves her food but now its just insane lol every time im in the kitchen shes stuck to me like glue, watching me like a hawk and if i eat something and dont give her some, well the face she pulls my god, oh well couple weeks left im hoping it goes by fast.

Pups take a huge toll , im not to worried she is a good eater and she will have lots of extras, i got a line on some raw, maybe just depends on the price. I will also let you know if my girls appetite has anything to do with litter size, cause if it does then shes feeding a freakin army in there lol. i sure hope its not a large one, i prefer smaller litters easier for momma to take care of.

We feed kibble but also add some carbs in there to help keep the hunger at bay. Sweet potato goes over well with our girls and I think someone mentioned green beans work as a filler. Our females always look like they can't get enough lol... and being preggers the females tend to rub all their extra goodies in the other's nose. We haven't ever had a female go off their food at all so I guess they are like me... nothing makes me stop eating :)

Have you tried buying kibble online? Not sure if shipping would be more where you live, but I think you can get the Earthborns for around $50 or so vs the $85 you listed above.
