Just caught up on what was going on. I am so deeply sorry for your loss. I can't even imagine how helpless you must have felt exhausting all options in order to provide him the best life possible. I've seen that type of aggression, not in a mastiff breed but in a Wheaton Terrier. A dog I would think would be sociable & friendly. I know not the same as a guardian breed but it took me by surprise. My thoughts & prayers are with you during this difficult time. Hugs!!
