Raw + Kibble

Hey all! Brand new to the forum and new to the Cane Corso breed. Previously a Boxer owner until my buddy passed in January. I've got some questions concerning feeding my pup raw and kibble. Here's my idea and what I know so far:

I want to feed him raw for his evening meal and a high quality ingredient kibble for his other meals. For his kibble I've gone with Blue Diamond Large Breed Puppy Food as it helps support a balanced growth so that he doesnt get too large and has solid ingredients with no corn and other fillers.

For his raw diet I'd like to do the 80/10/5/5 split between the lean meat/bone/liver/other organ meat .

My question is in regards to portioning the raw. One source I looked into suggested 2 to 3 percent of the breeds average weight in lbs (which I'd then divide by 2 since I'm only doing raw half time). Another source suggested 8% of the puppies current weight in lbs, adjusting as he grows. Once I know the lbs, I then divide the percentages according to the ingredients.

Which do you all suggest? The 2 to 3% rule or the 8% of bodyweight rule? Or do you have something different to suggest?

Thanks for anyone's feedback!

There is no way you should feed a dig 8% of their body weight.... My puppy weighs about 120 lbs.. that would be just under 10 lbs of food daily !!! That is horrible advice...

Keep in mind that raw is about 70% water. I know a lady who feeds a prepared raw diet to her 70 pound lab. It comes in those sausage packs in the frozen section. She feeds him 5 pounds a day! That's about 7 percent bodyweight. In case you're wondering, it's rather expensive. A 5 pound pack is $17.95 (already discounted price) and that's what she gives him every day.
