I started feeding my dogs from raised bowls a few years ago, on advice from somebody I met at the dog park. It had nothing to do with bloat, although I can see where that conversation may come into it. More to prevent brachycephalic breeds from gulping air as they eat, then absolutely killing me with their intestinal gas a few hours later. I can tell you that for my dogs, it drastically cut down on the amount of gas passing and my small home doesnt smell like a testing laboratory for biological weapons!
