The purebred bullmastiff dam of my future puppy is only 60lbs how will this effect my puppies size? The sire is purebred English mastiff and is within normal breed size.

It's really impossible to say. Even within one litter the size can vary drastically. There really is no way to guarantee the size your dog will end up. Your dog could end up smaller than usual or it could end up larger. The litter we got Kahlua from had drastic size difference in pups. Most the pups were around her size but there was this one giant pup that was over twice the size of the other pups. You just never know.

PICTURES OF THE DAM, Please. As Many As You Can Get. It's an ODD Weight for a pregnant female BM.

Are the Puppies to be Delivered by Caesarian? EM's are so much bigger than BM's.... Questions, more than answers at this point.

60 lbs? I wonder why they would breed her when she's so much smaller than the breed standard. How do you know she's purebred? 60 lbs. seems awfully tiny.

Sounds like maybe an oops litter or not a very responsible breeder. Sorry, Ironmike, but breeding mixes intentionally isn't generally done by responsible breeders. Were any health tests done on the sire and dam? Not just a vet check but things like OFA for hips/elbows, cardiac testing, thyroid, etc? Who is the breeder and where are they located? We can take a look at their website and see if there are red flags.

First thought is that I hope they are monitoring her closely. A male EM within standard is going to be at least twice possibly 3x her size. That could easily create puppies to big for her body to handle.
In terms of how big the puppies will be it al depends on what mix of genes get expressed. I've got a mixed breed dog that is known to be half Irish Setter and half Golden Retriever. For his mix height and weight are close between the 2 breeds but body structure and fur vary dramatically. Most people think he is a purebred Irish Setter though because his Irish Setter genes are what are expressed in him. I've met his sister (same parents different litter) and she is much more like a golden retriever with the deep redcoat of the Irish Setter. Mixed breed puppies are a roll of the dice. They can be like one parent, like the other parent or a mix of both. This goes for both physical appearance and temperament. So make sure you know both and are ready to handle how those can mix as well.

Yikes. I hope the owner is ready with a vet for an emergency C-Section. That could be a very scary birthing process for the Bitch. :(
