Hi, I have a Brindle Male on the way and should be joining the family on the 7th of Oct. I want to prep the best I can before his arrival. I have two miniature schnauzers and 3 Kids. What are the puppy must haves for a Bullmastiff. I Just bought a crate, but what else should I buy? I will be Enrolling him in obiedience training once he gets here.
Thank you for the help.

I asked this question not long ago as we got our puppy, Lillie, in June.

Along with the basics of chew toys, and food and bowls (ceramic or stainless steel), beds, etc. I would say a good harness has been one of the best things I've bought (well, we are on our 3rd one, so best three things, I guess). My trainer suggested using a harness for the day to day outings, as puppies pull and a puppy needs to be able to experience the world, greet people and be happy, socialize, etc. without becoming accomstomed to pulling against a collar. At the same time, you start to train the puppy to NEVER pull while the leash is hooked to the collar. I swear this works, Lillie almost never pulls on the collar, walks very nicely next to me and hopefully we just skip right over any "pulling" issues!

We probably went overboard on puppy things! I bought toys and a kong and small training treats...bowls, bed, crate, leash, collar, harness (agree with Jamie). I bought baby wipes and nail clippers and a brush to get him used to grooming things early on :). Congrats on your new baby!
