Presa with other dog!!?

I just brought home a presa canario puppy, she was 9 weeks old when we got her and she's been with us for 2 weeks. We have a 5 year old maltese/shih tzu male and he seems terrified of her. I don't know if it's the size difference or if he's just upset about there being another dog in the house. We try to maintain the same behaviour with him as usual, hoping he feels as secure as possible. I'd really like some pointers on how to socialize these two. I want nothing more than to have them get along, but she is clearly the more dominant and this only makes it more difficult for them to be friendly.

I would appreciate any help!

Keep the new/bigger dog on a short leash while they get used to each other and teach the pup boundaries and respect. Remember the scared oneay start a conflict out of fear. Don't "baby" the old one or be too permisive with the new.

We have 3 shih tzu/maltese mix dogs too and it took them awhile to warm up to Bea. Like alejandro said, keep the pup from "bullying" the smaller dogs, while gradually increasing their exposure and rewarding proper behaviour. Remove items that could cause conflict; toys, bones, etc. and feed the new pup last if group feeding. Our little male and Bea are now great friends:

My Presa is 13 months old. In her original home she lived with 2 Chihuahua's, and with us, she lived with a Pomeranian (who has since died) and a Beagle x Basset Hound. She is definitely the dominant dog here and can get to be too much with our other dog who is 11 years old. We have a "safe word" with her to call her off the other dog when she is getting too rough. She is also crated when we are not home to give the other dog peace during the day (also to keep our home from being eaten). She isn't aggressive, just too playfully rough.
