Presa Pup

Good morning. We lost our beautiful Presa girl at the start of this year and we have recently started looking for another. We are also in the process of buying a small farm and considering breeding in the future.

The pup we are looking at has a solid black face, which is a fault in the breeding standard. Would this trait carry over to litters?

The mask or black face would indeed be inherited by "some" of the offspring.. Whether it would be a dominant or recessive trait would have to be determined by breeding trials.. To the best of my knowledge or opinion.. That mask came from somewhere, where, would be speculation..

If it were me I'd look into Boerboels if'n your going to lead a farm style life.. We had 2 and LOVED them, we currently have a CC x BM pup and while we love her I believe she is going to be more training intensive then the BB's were.. We have chickens, cows, a pig until January 19th and will likely be adding Nigerian dwarf goats after I retire.. That said we do not want a high prey drive..
