We've lost our beautiful Boston. He died recently. We're desperate to find another one the same. He was a young adult when we got him - the only info was he was a mastiff buy no clues as to where he came from exactly. We were his third home - previous owners didn't do their homework on large breeds and couldn't control his boisterous nature. We loved him so much and it didn't take long at all to 'tame' him. I believe he looks like a tosa however tosa inu is a banned breed in New Zealand so I can't find anyone with any dog similar. Obviously the inu is half his size and he wasn't a fighting dog however his tail, teeth and whole appearance match that of a larger tosa breed. He was a gorgeous big goofball who we miss terribly. I'd appreciate any feedback

I'm sorry for your loss... RIP, Boston.

He looks kind of Boerboel-ish to me. How much did he weigh?

His head and ears look like an American bulldog but his muzzle is longer.
Sorry for your loss, sorry I can't help you.

He is beautiful.
And, he looks to be one of a kind. They all are, especially in our hearts.
RIP Boston.

Are there any mastiff rescue groups in your area? They might be a good source of information.

Boerboel American Bully cross almost for sure. Look into Boerboels.
Sorry for your loss.

So sorry for your loss. You know, he looks like he might have a little Anatolian Shepherd in him as well. Good luck finding your new family member...
