Absolutely beautiful deb!!! One of these days this forum is going to get me in trouble. The more I hear about & see Presas, the more & more I become intrigued.

No disrespect to CCs but when I was looking for another breed when my last American Bulldog past away... I looked at CCs and Rotties .. But then I came across a Presa at the hospital I worked at .. On man I started my research and just fell in love .. they have such a way about themselves that is so passionate .. I cant explain what it is but I can sit and watch mine for hours ..

There history makes them harder b/c they still are considered a fighting breed. But to train they are actually very handler sensitive. Once they have that bond with you they have a bond. They want to please. Very much a solid, none skid-dish breed.
The CCs I have trained in the past and the one I am training now, I find them not a solid breed, more skid-dish .. but thats the ones I have trained .. now I have met other ones that where nice dogs .. Like I know Ron & Vulcan .. he is a nice dog .. I have a friend name Paul who has a really nice Personal Protection one. I also know a guy name Steve, I showed his CCs for him and they were afraid of everything around them.

I say it all depends one breeding and how dogs are raised .. many breeders I have met in BOTH breeds are garbage breeders and dont know anything about what they are looking at or for, in genetics, drives, disposition and structure.

Interesting. Looks like I'll have something to read about in my down time. I love researching breeds & learning new things about dogs. Before this forum I felt like EMs & BMs were the only mastiffs that existed. What an awakening I had when I came here!!

It makes me smile too .. I love to sit in my sun room and just watch them play .. its so nice.
I go into my mud room and watch my Malinois, other Presa pup & PRT play .. its funny to see them try to keep up with each other .. the PRT keeps up and tries to beat up the Mali male. He is clearly 2.5 ft taller then him, but that lil guy thinks he's a king :)

Lol that reminds me of when Daisy & Duchess play. Daisy gets all worked up & will run in these big circles around Duchess & she pants real hard. I call it her muffler. ;) Duchess usually ends up getting pissed bc she can't keep up & will flop herself down on the floor & just watch with her "eyebrows" all arched. I have tried for months to get this recorded but Daisy never runs like that like she used to. It's very random. Usually they play tug & Duchess will just stand in one spot & not move a muscle while Daisy jerks the toy around & shakes it trying to get a reaction & she gets nothing.

just awesome looking Presas! i noticed the holes being dug in your yard in that first pic, mine does the same. i take him on walks, runs, to the beach, to the park, play with him constantly and he still wants more attention! Too funny.......

You should see my new yard ... If I need a tree dug out ... I know who to call .. In the video the tree Anabis took the bowl too he and Xade have clearly tried to dig the tree .. Mine dogs get obedience training, protection training and run in the field .. they still want more .. come in take a nap and then back to begging for more stuff to do .. LOVE IT

it is a shame but they are doing it to alot of breeds... I gave my sister a ABD for her daughters and they after years of having her on the base told her the dog could no longer be there even though the dog never did anything wrong .. my sister fought it and got to keep the old dog on base but not many others got that ... I wish they would go after bad owners with bad dogs not go after a breed b/c they all might be bad b/c not all owners have bad dogs
