Mine at the moment is Dogs nails. CUT THE DAMN NAILS ALREADY!!! It IS a big deal! It is uncomfortable/painful for the dog!!! It breaks my heart to see dogs with long nails. It is horrible!! It isn't exactly a difficult task for crying out loud!!!!
I am so with you on this one!!!

Since we are on phobias, does anyone have any pet peeves? I have a few.

Nicknames: I can't stand them, probably because my mother's 4th husband walked around calling me chicken for several years. My response was to call him asshole until he stopped. I took a lot of punishment for that but if he called me chicken, like "How's it going chicken?" I would always answer, "It's going fine asshole." Yeah, I was a rotten teen and I took the punishment with pleasure. LOL.

Towel folding: Towels have to be folded hotel style, tea towels have to be folded differently than bath towels. I will actually unfold all the towels to do it properly.

Bad pet owners: That is to be expected. I hate pet owners that treat their dogs like babies. Drives me nuts and I have seen some disgusting things, such as people feeding their dogs from the table..with the very forks they are eating with! In the middle of their meal! Bite for the dog...bite for me...ready to hurl just thinking about it.

I have a number of other ones but what are your pet peeves.

Back in California, I was driving through this rich part of town with my family, and there was a lady walking her dog. Normally this would be okay except her dog was in a baby stroller !!

Lazy ass people...people who would rather you be monkey in the middle and do their shitty work for them rather than get off their lazy asses and do it themselves thus saving time, a million stupid friggin questions and a whole lot of going back and forth for nothing. oh a rude people! I have no time for no manners and Im not afraid to let you know you haven't said thank you or excuse me or sorry!

This. When a good friend had her first son several years ago, I told her please- if you do nothing else, please teach him manners. Being polite and respectful will go a loooong way.

Especially living in this crazy city of 8 million people- when someone says "excuse me" or "I'm so sorry" or "thank you"---it changes everything. Helps balance out the free-floating hostility that's everywhere...

My pet peeve is busting my ass for over 2 months now getting my credit back in order so I can buy a house this year & my credit is still showing a defaulted student loan & over utilization of my credit cards. I have been paying on my student loan for 10 MONTHS. It was reported at the end of May as a good standing account or in repayment. And my credit cards, I'm using less than 40% of their balances so how can I be over utilizing them?! What gives!!!

Manners are so very important. They completely change an interaction and can set the tone for the whole situation. My mother never excused bad manners and being rude was a capital crime. She once kicked my middle sister out of the car in the way home from dinner and made her walk the remaining mile home because she was being a rude bitch. I think she was 14 at the time ( no worries, safe neighborhood and my sister is over 6ft lol). My mother did not play around and all 3 of us girls say yes ma'am , thank you, no thank you and please even to the person taking our order in the drive through.

Ha- good decision, Mom^^^.

Just a couple of years ago, driving back from visiting my dying mother, my brother, his son and I stopped at a roadside diner for lunch. My brother (a physician) was acting so arrogant, walking around talking loudly on his cell phone to one of the other docs about my mother's VERY PERSONAL physical issues, causing the few other people there, TRYING TO EAT to glare at him. Then during our meal he went on an on about how the visual arts (yes, I make a living as a visual artist) are not as important as music (his son is a budding composer and pianist.) Yeah, playing out the old roles of me being the dumb younger sister, and him knowing better. Even his son couldn't believe how rude he was being...

Finally, when my nephew and I went out to the car while he paid the bill, we just took off; we just looked at each other and said, "let's go."

About a 1/2 mile down the road, my brother caught up with us and climbed in without saying a word...

That stuff stinks. Also, anything over 15% is considered over utilization and will bring your score down.

It's so frustrating bc I brought that down from 83%. It's still reporting as 83%. So quick & easy to mess it up but it's like a turtle stampeding through peanut butter trying to get it to go back to normal. I guess that's one of life's lessons in becoming an adult. Don't max out your credit cards!!! Lol

You will be amazed at how much your score jumps when you have your credit cards below 15%. The bureaus are definitely slow as hell to make it right on thier end.

Well I hope it's soon. I've been paying anywhere from $250-400 each paycheck bringing those balances down. 1 will be paid off tomorrow, the other I think by mid to end of August. I know the student loan hurt me but I would think now I'm approaching the 60 day mark that they would report it as repayment. If only I had enough money to just pay that off & forget about it!

As for kids with manners, my future children will learn to respect their elders & will not be allowed to do half the shit my 16 year old brother gets away with. I was not raised that way. At this point in my life I am thankful for the boundaries that were forced upon me. I can't imagine where I would be if my parents allowed me to run around like a hooligan like they let my brother. They say he has a curfew, he comes home when he wants. He is the most disgusting person & does not clean up after himself. There's so much more that drives me completely bonkers but not my place to enforce any kind of rules. Not my kid!!

You should send each bureau a letter disputing all of the ones that are still reporting incorrect. If you do that, they only have 30 days to respond to you and they will contact each of the vendors and change your report a hell of a lot faster.

That sounds like a good idea! I will have to do that. I don't have time to be sitting around waiting. I found a house I really liked a few weeks ago, checked on it yesterday & now it's sold. It won't be a lifelong home, more like a 5-10 year home until I find a few acres or maybe a husband. Lol! We'll see which comes first

Just include this opening : Dear Sir or Madam:
"Upon recently obtaining a copy of my credit report with information reporting from your bureau, I was very disturbed to discover inaccurate information reporting to me. I always pay my bills in a timely manner and these errors need to be removed.

I know that under FCRA (Fair Credit Reporting Act), I have the right to an accurate credit report. Please investigate the items below and remove or correct this inaccurate information:" and then a bulletted list of issues (Be sure to add account numbers for each). I just did this for my son and his credit score jumped up 112 points so far. :)

Awesome!! That would be amazing if I could fix mine like that. Last I heard my credit score was 596. As of now it's 605. Which is disappointing. So hopefully once I get this all situated I can be back around 700 or so

I'm an expat. My pet peeve is people who go to another country and complain that the way things work are not exactly how it is in their home country and proceed to try and teach the local population how to do things 'properly'.

I can not stand grown adults who play around like children and think they are being quirky or cute.

I agree completely. On a similar note, I grew up in Papua New Guinea, my parents insisted I learnt at least one of the local languages and behaved (in public at least) in fashion that was acceptable locally. It pisses me off now that I'm back in the UK very few people seem to be willing to pat me the same courtesy.
