Park avenue Bordeaux

I don't have any experience with the actual kennel itself, but my first DDB was heavily linebred from Park Avenue lines, pretty much 100% (but I don't know if his sire and dam actually came from the kennel itself).

Unfortunately, I lost him unexpected at age 3 to a dilating cardiomyopathy - it totally broke my heart! He was the most amazing dog - he was my world.

I am truly sorry for your loss. Is that a genetic condition that the parents should have been tested for?

Thank you.

Yes it is a genetic condition (thougt it can also be caused by a taurine or L-carnitine deficiency; or by toxins, though that is rare).

I know his parents weren't tested, I got him from a BYB (I was just a college kid and didn't really know better at the time).

It's been 5 1/2 years since I lost him and I still miss him like crazy.

I don't know them personally. I will not comment about other ppls dogs. What i do know and will share is that Park Avenue has been in this breed for a very long time. Therefore it creates alot of dogs out there from their dogs.

They have been breeding for about 26yrs. My female is linebred and is great granddaughter of Park Ave Chea Chea. Many good bloodlines have Park Ave in them.
