the boxer breed has changed a lot over the years does anyone know of any projects to recreate the true boxer. I have attached images of what the original boxer looked like and how it appearance has been altered to a dog incapable of its working origins due to becoming so heavily brachycephalic.

I heard that German Boxers are regularly able to complete the Schutzhund AD test with no problem. That's 12.5 miles at about 8-10 mph.

Not all breeders are breeding the extreme brachy dogs. It's a matter of choosing your breeder wisely. I think that the bigger concern impacting working ability in the breed is with other health issues. Heart in particular. There are plenty of breeders producing dogs that are fully capable of working.
