One lifted leg, an out of control Great Dane and a moron store clerk...for starters.

Sounds like most of you are more polite than me. The last time I had a trainer who wouldn't leave me alone about Willie, I asked her if she needed a trainer to teach her how to listen (I don't go to Petco often as it is about an hour away--we go to Tractor Supply and Lowe's much closer--)but every time I went in there she was bothering me. She stopped after that question.
Very funny about his choice of venue to show off his new "skill". And I don't understand the pet owners who refuse to train their pets either, or at least have the common courtesy to leave the store until they have their animal back under control. Sigh.

Man you see out of control dogs all the time in public. these owners are the same ones with the out of control kids.

First off, sorry both you and Ruger (great name!) had such a horrible experience at Petsmart. We've had similar experiences over the years. The people that work there are not animal/dog experts so I tend to ignore their remarks.

With the devil costume - Ruger probably wasn't the first dog to pee on it! Especially if it was closer to the floor level. I have seen so many dogs pee on the merchandise. And bless you for telling the cashier! Almost all the owners I've seen quickly whisk their dog away from the scene of the crime. LOL. Then it looks like the pee fairy did it.

Now relax, it's over. Ruger won't remember it. :)

Thanks, TN Dogues......And he is named after my favorite gun. LOL I think you are right about the costume and I just couldn't imagine my dog pissing on a costume and not picking it up and making someone aware but Some people......We have since stopped our visits to petsmart since Ruger has gotten older and begun to mature and is not real people friendly (He is a true Guardian) and since idiots will run right up to him without even thinking, we have phased that out. All is well, though, Ruger just gets better and better everyday and I couldn't be happier that I found him in Alabama! :)
