Hi all I have owned boxer dogs my whole life and totally love mastiffs as well I have a question as I'm not sure if I'm being unreasonable in thinking this but we have a neighbour who moved in a year ago in a small flat they have a 3 year old mastif and literally leave it for 10hours aday and they never walk it they just give it 2 mins on the green outside the that's it any thoughts from people that know this breed would be helpful.

Its a hard one to give advice, if i thought a dog was being neglected i would act on it, i wouldnt leave my dogs for 10 hours, does the fog look healthy, can you speak to the owner and see what the situation is.

I agree, that's tough. I have never left my dogs alone for that long. They stay alone for 5 hours, at most. My corsos are kind of lazy. They like to go for walks, but they'd rather lay in the grass! I would try to make friends with the owner(s) and see what kind of routine they have, that way you could have piece of mind.

Good luck!
