Mutt has a luxating patella, maybe?

The day of the skateboard incident with Hector on the trail, Mutt came home and was totally out. Then I noticed he was not right because he was out for the entire night. I thought he was just exhausted from the walk. Then I noticed he didn't follow me anywhere, did not poke his head in the bathroom, did not react when I crinkled bags, or even moved when I handed out treats. Then later that night, he didn't want to drink water. All he wanted to do was sleep. He also yelped in pain and when I went to check on him, he was trembling. Not really sure what was wrong, but I did see that he couldn't lift his back legs to itch his sides whether he was standing or sitting. Then I noticed his left leg turns outwards when he walks. I noticed this before when I got him to do cute little dog tricks, so I stopped it because something was apparently wrong. He's acting more like himself today, but did yelp once in the car and got frustrated that he couldn't hop up in the back window. I gave him some aspirin and he's 14 lbs so does this sound like luxating patella and how much does surgery cost?

Thalia only has a very minor luxating patella, but it sounds nothing like that. When she runs, her knee cap will pop out and she just does a little bunny hop or kicks her leg out to get it back in place and then she carries on. Never shows any pain or discomfort and it's never slowed her down. Like I said though, hers is the most minor you can have. She gets joint supplements and GP and she's good!
