List Of CAFIB Breeders?

ace, it was unfortunate that prince charles didnt make it to any CAFIB event and it is also unfortunate that no filas made it to any CBKC event. The CAFIB standard is recognized in all countries of Europe, South America, and North America... No organization (parent group) for CAFIB exist in the continent of Africa or Asia yet however only CAFIB type dogs are shown in Asia..... so far for the argument that it is a small dessident group or did you ever really believe that? If you dont have a problem letting people choose then why interupt a thread about CAFIB breeders if you have nothing constructive to contribute? BTW I appreciate you liking my dogs, I work hard and research like crazy to make sure I can contribute properly to the breed..

I would love to take you thru a tour of Asia and visit a few kennels I have been to. Real dogs not some punk malinois's. The best rottweilers I have seen are in Asia. Africa, well who wants to go there, everybody would give their life to get out. And South America, maybe 15% of the Fila kennels are cafib. Lets be real here, we aren't talkin Jersey.

And if you want to see whats wrong with the "developed" world take a look at Europe, crumbling to the ground as we speak. If CAFIB dogs were the best thing since crunchy peanut butter everyone would be jumping on board, but they are not.

If I was defending the California puppy mill would you interrupt?

Ace, are you really comparing Itanhandu to Lions den? this guys literally sends dogs that are half dead to owners...he is a detriment to the breed while the other produces champions... BTW I wouldnt mind a cold beer.. bud lite or coors lite either one is fine with me.

But they are. I am not sure what gives you the impression that CAFIB hasnt doubled in shows and participants throughout the world in the last 5 yrs. Even in America it has grown although not as fast as it has grown in other countries.

Its about the dogs.

I don't know anything abou them either but they were one of one my choices for breeder prospects. I've done some research on and off but nothing "intense" as of yet. If the number of dogs is true I agree that is a lot, IMO.

I always thought you were a secret Fila lover You Son Of A Gun.

Could someone explain to me what the masses on this dogs Elbows are? I see these on mostly the CAFIB dogs, but not sure what it is. In general this dogs legs, both front and back, don't look very healthy, outward appearance.

lol, they are calluses... it is from sleeping on hard surfaces usually cement. CAFIB dogs (especially in Brazil) almost always have these because they are all outside dogs so they either sleep in their kennels or on the porch or on the dirt. At a CAFIB show points are not taken away for this as it is a natural occurance for farm dogs. My Maddy is an inside dog and doesnt have these but when it is fall, spring or the weather is cool she likes to stay out most of the day and after a month or so I can see lil bare spots on her elbows and that is where the callus would form.

after this post I got to looking at pics of dog calluses (yea, im nuts) and I came to a site that sold "calluse prevention" stuff for dogs...too freaking funny. They had one that was like shirt sleeves that you put on your dog so when it lays down its elbows would be covered... people are freaking NUTS!

What dogman said they are calluses, Thor has them on his elbows usually come from sleeping on hard surfaces.

Thanks. I figured it was something like that, they just look so unappealing, and wrong.

It is common in ALL breeds of Mastiffs, actually any large breed period.
Personally I don't think it looks "wrong" at all, it is part of life.
My dogs have elbow calluses, they have dog beds but most times prefer to sleep on our cool tile.
Most, if not all CC in Italy, working CC that is, have the same calluses. It is a very Western concept to give dogs comfy soft bedding, furniture and spoil them the way we do.
To be honest from your post, it seems like you are searching for faults in CAFIB dogs that aren't there. Not saying they don't have faults, but if the best that you can find here is calluses...
If you have "mainly" seen those in CAFIB dogs, that leads me to believe that you haven't looked at many large breed working or farm dogs/breeds.
They are pretty common.
