Sorry sometimes I have a little devil that rides my shoulder and whispers these evil little comments to me.

It is unfortunate... we are getting lots of calls from the Ont/QC regions in regards to rescues. They haven't gone crazy in shelters here yet and I count my lucky stars every morning that the retard in my area with the Neo that feels it necessary to breed to a ego-maniacs corso hasn't resulted in any puppies.

Yah, right now here on kijiji there are a ton of CC pups ( parents from the one and only Aragorn :( )
And Fila's... Is upsetting...

Yup shocking, more epi pups on the way here in Calgary, looks like we are well on our way to becoming the next Ontario.
Mom is from Vancouver? So who knows which of the BYB's she is from.
My guess dad is from the litter 2 years ago that the count is now 3 pups with Epilepsy. So ya, sell them and breed them. But hey... They are registered, ICCF and FCI so...
Nothing can be done, that is what bothers me the most.
So many people are going to be hurt, because some douches wanna make some easy cash...
I actually have an email from Stan where he toldme he wouldn't breed again, that the risk was too high. 2 litters later...
Wait and my VERY FAVORITE PART IS THE CHAMPION BLOODLINES!
How can he even pretend... There is no Ch. Angela never had Aragorn's papers according to he many lies. How do you CH a dog withno fricken papers!!! And Stan has never shown a single damn dog. Going to one handling class is not getting a flipping Ch.
Wow... Not sure where that came from.
Gawd, enough of this rant.

I figured by the head on the dad that was where the dog had come from :( It is extremely frustrating that there is nothing that can be done to stop these people  Instead innocent families and those poor puppies are the ones that suffer! It is enough to make me sick! Do you know if the ICCF is going to continue to register after the stud book closes? I am seeing a lot of kennels that advertise they are registered with ICCF and I wondered if Kristie and Ed are going to continue the registry. If not it would at least cut off that avenue for registration for them but again won't solve the FCI issue :( There are so many lies surrounding the Rustic lines that even finding a starting place to debunk them is scary.

This I don't understand, breeding for family pets? What does that mean? They don't have to show their dogs but I don't see where they do anything with their dogs, showing or working. I also don't see if they have any health screens done on their breeding stock. I hope that you have better luck with your puppy than the ones in the most recent posts in regards to this kennel.

Also while you might not be interested in showing (most pet people aren't) there is a reason that breeders do it, it is done to show that our breeding stock conforms to the standard set out for the breed. So that those beautiful dogs you fell in love with don't end up looking like labs with soft or unstable temperaments and the puppies that don't conform for breeding purposes also make wonderful family pets but to breed just for family pets when there are lots of great family pets in a shelter would not be a kennel I would steer people to, that is my opinion and you can take it for what it is worth.

So what you are saying is Lil'Evil breeds to line their pockets, won't be responsible for the dogs they produce once they get said cash, and come any health/temperament issues you will be sh*t out of luck.
Sounds great, where do I sign up.
Good luck with your puppy, I hope you have no issues down the road.
Next time however, I recommend you research the breed before you run out an support a backyard breeder.

Is he selling them with a guarantee and then not honoring it?

I think that if I am understanding the situation correctly he is producing puppies but then not taking them back and they are being dumped, whether for temperament or health issues.

This is exactly what this breed needs..NOT So now how many of these people buying these "family pets" decide to breed them because they love them and they are great!! I think the problem is that your ordinary person has no idea what the respectable kennels are going through to produce good quality pups. Hell i didnt even know until after i did all my research. This is why people need to educate themselves not just about different breeders but about different lines and the health issues that can come from them. Many of these people have never read about a CC having cluster seizures and what it does to that dog and the family or about hd or about a cc unexpectantly going blind and turning on everyone they ever loved and have to be put down. To learn and research is only to protect yourself and your family and pet. Your pet becomes like a child and would'nt you want to get and give your child the best shot at a great life? It all comes down to $$$$$ and lazyness and honestly it sickens me! My rant is over i said my peace !

i find i funny that some one how has read this thread, would go to a breeder how has had heath and temperaments problem's like this kennel, still think they are getting a puppy that will be "a family dog" without braking your heart or bank, i did my homework and fond lots of dogs how where bread like thees and decided not to tuck them with a barge pole, if i was you i would run now before you end up running form a family pet that has snapped,

this is my opinion witch i have come to from reading this thread and others about this kennel, if i am wrong and the kennel can prove they have a good breeding program with health and temperaments tests for the litters and adult dog, then i would apologies to the kennel

I don't think you will be required to make those apologies to that kennel :( Sometimes and this is going to sound really sad but sometimes people just want to have the cool dog. They want to be able to say yeah I have a Cane Corso but have no true knowledge of what that means and the responsibilities associated with it. I won't tell you how many times I have gotten calls from people just to ask the price on my dogs and when I tell them they say well XYZ is selling them for this much :( so I will get mine there. I tell them they should do what feels right to them but to make sure they are doing their research into the purebred breeder world and the corso in particular. It is also saddening to get calls from these people that didn't and now can't get in touch with their breeder for support with issues they are having so they look up other breeders and contact us. I don't mind helping but I do ask why they don't contact their breeder first and the reply is (most of the time) that they have with no response and are at a loss of what to do :(

Where there is a market there is a sale. There Is a large chunk of people looking for the cheaper dog. Since we are a capitalist culture people Will be there to fill that need. Life all boils down to profits. It literally keeps this world moving. This guys little backyard business is no better or worse than the major corporation screwing over the environment the public you name it just after the dollar. Ok there is the otherside of the coin.

Oh we are aware of the other side of the coin and how you can compare it to other situations but when it comes to living beings it just seems that much worse to most of us. It is a sensitive issue and while I understand the opposite side of the coin but when we are left dealing with the phone calls or finding appropriate homes for dogs that we didn't decide to bring into this world it can get tiring and frustrating. I can certainly see why rescue people get burned out often.
