Wow. She just started sleeping through the night? Oh no I really hope Knox is a better sleeper. But she told us this weekend that they get up three times a night still.
4 more sleeps(solid uninterrupted I should say)

He is doing pretty good. Some things are better then others. He's waking less through the night now. Only usually once The first night home was a long one haha. He was always sleeping in a crate at the breeders so that's been an easy task. When he's about to sleep I say Knox bed and he will go into his crate most times. Sitting is going well but we are just really over praising the good behaviours He doesn't like treats. Tried 3 different ones now and still no luck. I have my hand in his food bowl while eating taking food away moving it around petting him hand feeding some and all of that hasn't got any reaction so I think there will be no food dominance. He has growled at us over a nylabone though. Also he met a bull mastiff at my sons school(I keep taking him befor and after to help with his socializing and accepting of noise and commotion) the BM was three times as big and Knox growled and yipped at her. I've introduced him to about 12 dogs so far
I tell ya that dog draws crowds though. Everywhere we've taken him people are all over him and gushing about how cute he is. Ya I'm pretty sure he's the cutest puppy in the world. ;-).
And as for seeing more of him. No worries there. Ill keep posting lots.
Thanks again

Sounds like Knox is doing fine.

It's funny. When Hagrid was that age people did the fawning, "oh he's so cute" thing too. But as soon as he was over 60 lbs. they crossed the street, walked the other way, and no one wanted to rush up and pet him anymore. :(

Now, he's well over a hundred pounds and people admire him from a distance. Lol.

Please post pics again.

Ok so here we are at 9 weeks and 2 days. Things got sooo much better yesterday!!! Two things happened that to me are huge 1-he slept through the night!!!! Oh wonderful sleep I missed you!! And B-we found a treat he absolutely loves-> freeze dry beef liver. We have tried three different kinds two of which are liver flavour one soft one hard and then a soft bacon and he really could care less about them. Very frustrating trying to train a dog when he isn't food motivated. So at petsmart I asked the trainer when I saw she had a free moment what I should do and she tried the liver which he eagerly accepted from her. Tried again same result. So she took us to get some but they had no small bags so she gave us a Baggie to take. Well I kept trying through the store to get him to sit when I stopped and rewarded him with the liver and each time would take it like it's crack. So I bought the big bag. Haha. Well he loves them so much his training has jumped bounds over night!! Any how blah blah I know I could go on for ever but here's a few pics of little guy

Thanks for posting more pics. Sounds like he's doing great! And oh so CUTE!

As for the treats. It can be difficult to find motivators for DDBs. Every one is different, but they are almost all picky when it comes to treats. I trained our puppies with ground raw deer meat. It also helped them sleep through most of the night (given with their last meal at 11pm). For Hagrid, it was scrambled egg. For Hanna, anything liver or raw chicken. They hate dog biscuits. I tried giving them a biscuit. Hanna took it in her mouth then dropped it on the floor and sat there looking at me like where is the real treat. Lol.

10w->21lbs!!!! That made him gain about 1/2lb a day the last week!! His training is coming great. Sit is easy, down I still need to put the treat in my hand by his toes and correct him by lifting his front legs to a lay position if he doesn't do it. He will come fast from any part of the house though which is great!! He's met many more dogs and tons of people and no issues with that still. During a Christmas party we took him to we were told by someone that he was one of the best behaved puppies they had ever met!!! Wow not only cutest pup in the world but smartest to. Haha ;-)
We saw his protection side show through on a walk Christmas Eve two things happened that were pretty neat. First was a small child not wantin to be put in her car seat and she was screaming bloody murder pretty much as we passed by. Well Knox was very troubled by this pulling to go back almost dragging him along when I finally stopped about 100' away he sat back to me an facing the crying kid. Finally she stopped it got quiet Knox stood up turned back to us and carried on the walk. He seemed to be quiet concerned about the crying baby/child.
Second was when to people passed by on the other side of the street Knox was focused on them and was very hard to turn away he would just dodge my attempts and focus back on the strangers he kept holding back and watchin them over his shoulder until they were far enough that to him the threat was gone. He never lunged growled or showed anything that was aggressive but he was alert and watchful for sure. Again a neat thing to see him display.
Oh ya he does HATE other dogs on the couch(he's not allowed) he goes crazy barking and growling and snapping when 5 seconds befor they would be playing great. Seen that with a few small dogs that people allow on furniture.

Here's another pic as a reward for reading along haha. I know most are when he's asleep but it's the only time he's good for the camera

First time to the vet with me. He was 12w on Friday. He weighed in today at 28lbs. Still holding onto his 1/2Lb a day growth and had doubled his weight that we brought him home at a month ago

Sounds great! 1/2 lb. per day is normal weight gain at that age. It should continue into his 4th month. By then he should be 40-50 lbs. Then it may slow down some as he gains in height/length rather than weight. The weight gain usually picks back up again at 7-8 months.

Our pups are right in there too. Last weigh in was @ 10 weeks 20-21 lbs.

Knox looks just like one of Hanna's pups, Mimi. She is now in her new home and being spoiled rotten. I love seeing all the photos of Knox. He looks so cute asleep.

Haven't been putting as much crap on here about our boy lately but he's doing great and shaping up nicely. He still are working on some behaviour issues like his aggression when play fighting with our son but Knox is not at fault all the time and we are also trying to train our son proper play. He is great with other dogs and will ignore dogs we pass that are barking and jumping to him. Far cry from our old boxers reaction. We haven't switched to his raw diet yet mostly because I haven't bought another freezer for him. He weighed in at 60lbs yesterday at 17.5weeks and I busted out my calculator to work the math out on this because he has always grown 1/2lb a day on average weighing him weekly and I wanted to see how true that's been.....well 3.48lbs a week so pretty darn close I'd say!!!!! That will slow soon I know Here's a photo one of our friends stitched together this week for us

Thanks for looking

He looks great! He gets aggressive torward your son during play time? I think it's great you are teaching your son the right and wrong way to play with a dog (REALLY REALLY great!!), but Knox showing aggression toward a child is concerning to me. What kind of aggression, growling, lunging, biting? What is going on when he displays this aggression? (playing with toys, hands on playing, tug a war?)

Knox is as always, very photogenic. Regarding the child playing issue, do you keep your son off the floor while playing with Knox?
