Heightened awareness about natural health care has many people skipping traditional medicinal practices and opting for alternative therapeutic treatments. Holistic therapies like naturopathy, herbal treatments, natural nutrition, and homeopathy are now household names. Hence, it should not be surprising to know that as people have embraced these unconventional cures for themselves that they would want nothing less but the same for their pets. A good understanding of natural health care for animals is essential prior to the dispensation of alternative medication to pets as even the best intentions could further harm rather than provide them relief. Such was the case with Susan Lambert from the United Kingdom. A farmer who was treating his crops nearby accidentally sprayed Susan’s dogs with sulphuric acid. Despite recommendations to bring her beloved German Shepherds to the veterinary, Susan opted to use homeopathic remedies to alleviate their suffering. To prevent situations such as these from happening to you, why not learn more about natural animal health care through available online programs. The intention of these dog handling course are meant to teach pet owners like yourself about the natural way of looking after your pets. The program discusses various conditions that commonly affect domestic animals. In addition, the program provides a number of natural concepts and explanations for the treatment of these conditions.

My mother is a reiki master, a nutritionist, and a holistic nurse in addition to an RN and some other traditional specialties and has been using homeopathy since the 70s. She would tell me to take that dog to the vet!

Turns out the training center here has a pet reiki specialist. I'm actually a huge skeptic, but I've seen the effect my mother's reiki has had on animals and think it could be a nice "spa day" kind of relaxing activity for the dogs. I don't really believe in it, but if the practitioner does, maybe the dogs feel how centered and calm the practitioner is and they believe it too. :)
