OMg is that ground meat in the rolls?

Yes, ground beef!! It was expiring that day so I got it for $1.30/lb. the manager took my number down and will call when it happens again:) also the box was chicken quarters at $.29/lb and the pork was $1.29/lb. the only thing there for us was the salami, which I was craving. Lol

Breakfast in our house this morning:
Kid: cereal
Me: coffee
Dogs: trachea, chicken feet, rabbit feet, balanced meatballs and turkey neck for Sonny.
What I did yesterday? Harvested tripe. Dinner for humans? Noodles.
What I'm doing today? Mass grindings and making meatballs. Dinner for human? Who knows, leftover noodles?
Since starting raw feeding my family has definite been jipped. Hahahaha

Actually, we eat better. LOL When I go out bargain hunting I find all kind of great deals to us. This morning I found chicken breast tenderloins and Chicken breast for .35 a pound. Also, found "choice" New York strips for 3.50. :)

Love the pic!

Damn! You are way better at bargain hunting. I'm happy with anything under $2/lb. I do always have meat on hand to cook for us now. Lol

On sale today here, hamburger was $5.00/lb Canadian, $4.86/lb for chicken breast - so factoring in the exchange, that would be the same as paying about $3.75 USD for the beef per pound, I think. I suck at math.

Do you have an HEB around you? I just got boneless pork loins. The really big ones. About 8 pounds for .77 a pound. Beef heart for 1.57 and Pork ribs for .97

Can find some great prices but certainly not pork loin at .77/lb! Wow!

It's not so much as not having good food around to make, it's the lack of wanting to. Since my prima donna has to have hers ground and froze in meatballs and also harvesting our own tripe it's a 2-3 day process. After all that cooking is most definitely not on my to do list;) hahaha

So for anybody wondering.....yes, tripe does smell worse upon vomiting or regurgitation:/

Tried whole prey today! Hoping she'd like it to help save on meal prep time. I was hopeful!

I have a frozen deer leg in my freezer, courtesy of a local hunter. But I'm having a hard time giving it to Pippa. Not sure what I'm worried about. But it must be consumed outside!! She certainly won't eat it all in one sitting? Help me out here.

Not 100% sure about it, but read up on deer.
Something tickling the back of my mind, that dear meat can carry parasites of some kind.

If you read on it, let me know....

There's a disease that deer carry around here. But they test for it before they butcher. So I feel ok with that. But the leg still has a pelt on it, hair, and that sorta creeps me out. Lol!
